Effect of different irrigation levels on growth, cropping and mineral composition of mango (Mangifera indica Linn.)
Fifteen-year-old Dashehari trees were irrigated to 20, 40 or 60% soil moisture deficit or received no irrigation (control). Shoot growth, spread and leaf area were greater under the 20 and 40% regimes than under the 60% and control regimes. The number of flowers, fruit set, fruit size, yield/tree and leaf contents of N, K, Ca, Mg, Fe and Mn were all greater with the 20 and 40% regimes than with the other 2 regimes.
