Effect of different irrigation scheduling on yield and water uptake of a spring sunflower crop (Helianthus annuus L.)

In a field experiment in 1986-89 in a hilly area near Benevento (S. Italy) five irrigation treatments were tested along with a rainfed control (T0) on sunflowers Flamme. Treatments T1, T2 and T5 were supplied with irrigation amounting to 33, 66 and 100% of crop evapotranspiration (ETc), respectively, throughout the season.
