Effect of different levels and methods of nitrogen application on storage behaviour of potato cv. Kufri Badshah

In field trials in 1985-86 on loamy soils potatoes Kufri Badshah were given 60, 120, 180 or 240 kg N/ha as urea applied 50% basal + 50 % top dressing, 75% basal + 25% top dressing, 50% basal + 25% top dressing + 25% foliar spray or 75% basal + 25% foliar spray. Tubers from the different N treatments were harvested and stored at room temperature in wooden baskets for 7, 10 or 13 weeks.
