Effect of different levels of glycerol and yolk on freezing and storage of buffalo semen in milk, Tris and sodium citrate buffers

Buffalo Journal 8(2): 151-156
Effect of different levels of glycerol and yolk on freezing and storage of buffalo semen in milk, Tris and sodium citrate buffers
Semen was frozen in diluents containing combinations of egg yolk (5, 10 or 20%) plus glycerol (3, 6 or 9%) and milk, Tris buffer or sodium citrate. Sperm motility was measured before and after freezing and during storage for up to 72 h in a refrigerator. The results showed that 5% egg yolk + 6% glycerol in milk or Tris gave the best results for freezing.
