Effect of different moisture regimes under varying planting temperatures and fertility levels on tuber development of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) variety Kufri Chandramukhi
Potatoes Kufri Chandramukhi were grown at Hisar in the 1985-86 harvest years using 75 and 150 kg N/ha, irrigation regimes supplying mean total amounts of water of 22.8 cm (ridge and furrow method) or 35.7, 24.7, 16.4, 7.8 and 1.4 cm (sprinkler irrigation by the line source method), and Sep. (high temperature) or Oct. (optimum temperature) planting. Tuber numbers were higher from the higher N rate and Oct. planting in 1985/86 but not in 1984/85.
