In field trials conducted on sandy loam at C. S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur (in Uttar Pradesh) during 1986-1988, the effects were evaluated of 7 herbicides (Tok-E-25 and Lasso both applied at 2 kg/ha, Basalin applied at 1 kg, and isoproturon, simazine, Dosanex and atrazine, all applied at 0.5 kg) and 3 levels of N (60-100 kg N/ha) on the quality and potential for storage of onions.
