Effect of diluent and freezing method on the fertilizing ability of ram semen

, : Effect of diluent and freezing method on the fertilizing ability of ram semen. ITEA, Produccion Animal 88A(3): 191-196

Ejaculates from 7 adult Australian Merino rams were diluted with Tris diluent or skim milk and were frozen in straws or pellets. For semen diluted with skim milk, the av. sperm motility at thawing and 2 h after thawing was 37.5 and 30.3% resp. vs. 44.1 and 36.4 for semen diluted with Tris (P<0.01).
