Effect of drought and number of irrigation treatments on yield and quality of sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris saccharifera L.)

, : Effect of drought and number of irrigation treatments on yield and quality of sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris saccharifera L.). Doga, Turk Tarm ve Ormanclk Dergisi 16(4): 757-762

In field experiments in Eskisehir, Ankara and Konya provinces, Turkey, in 1989, mortality of sugarbeet plants was 20.4-34.7% without irrigation. Increasing the number of irrigation treatments decreased mortality.

Yields of roots, sugar, refined sugar and tops were affected more...
