Effect of drought stress simulated by polyethylene glycol (PEG) on caryopsis germination and seedling growth in spring triticale (xTriticosecale Wittmack)
In tests of 52 varieties and lines under 4 induced drought regimes, germination percentage fell from 65-95% in the control to 13-86% under the second least severe and 1-11% under the most severe drought regime. Seedling length fell by an average of 27, 43, 62 and 72% under the 4 regimes.
