, : Effect of dye factory effluent on bottom biota of the river Churni. Environment and Ecology 9(1): 154-162

Dye factory effluent containing acids, alkalies, dissolved solids, caustic soda, nitrated salts and different types of dyes is discharged into the river Churni near Krishnaganj, West Bengal, India. In a field study benthos at various effluent discharge points was found to be dead.
