Three-year trials, with cultivars Wolska, Rawska and Zytawska, were carried out with sets raised from seedlings treated with ethephon, as Ethrel or Flordimex, 6 or 8 weeks after emergence. Sets, used to raise the early crop, were 20-25 mm in diameter and were planted in late Mar. or early Apr. The crop was harvested in mid- to late May.
