Effect of ethrel and CCC on the tuber characters and yield of cassava

The effects of spraying cassava Co.1, ME.116 and MVD.1 with 250, 500 or 1000 p.p.m. ethrel 2000, 5000 or 10 000 p.p.m. CCC or water on tuber length, girth, length:girth ratio and tuber yield were studied from 6-10 months after planting. A total of 10 sprays were given starting at 1 month after planting followed by sprays at fortnightly intervals. At final harvest, tuber yield was highest in Co.1 and with 10 000 p.p.m.
