, : Effect of extirpation of the uropygial gland in growing quail. Indian Veterinary Journal 71(1): 39-43

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of extirpation of uropygial gland in Coturnix coturnix japonica at 4 weeks of age. There was no significant variation in body temperature, body weight and hematological values in post-operative period upto 10 weeks of age compared with the control group.
