, : Effect of farmyard manure without litter on the content of nutrients in fodder crops. Agrokhimiya ( 5): 91-95

In trials on dernopodzolic soil, maize (1981-83) and fodder beet (1982-84) were given no fertilizers, mineral NPK at 150 kg N + 60 kg P + 170 kg K/ha or 1 or 2 times these rates as FYM without litter, applied at the pre-sowing cultivation. FYM and mineral NPK had similar effects on yields. The CP content of maize DM increased from 6.53% with no fertilizer to 6.85% with NPK and 7.71-7.90% with FYM. Corresponding values for fodder beet roots were 5.25, 7.50 and 6.86-7.00%.
