, : Effect of feeding oat and berseem on rumen enzymes of black buck (Antilope cervicapra). Indian Journal of Animal Nutrition 10(1): 53-55

An adult, fistulated black buck (Antilope cervicapra) was fed on oats for 4 weeks and rumen fluid was sampled. The same animal was then fed on berseem (Trifolium alexandrinum) for 4 weeks, and sampled in the last week of the feeding period. Rumen samples were collected 4 h after feeding to determine enzyme activities. Carboxymethyl cellulase, xylanase and protease activities were higher after consumption of oats than after berseem.
