Murrah buffaloes in mid lactation were given daily a diet containing ad libitum wheat straw treated with urea at 4% and moisture at 50%, green herbage 20 kg and concentrate 2.5 kg plus adequate amounts of a mineral mixture, or that diet with the concentrate partly replaced with cottonseed cake 1.5 or 3.0 kg. During 42 days average daily yield of 4% fat-corrected milk was 8.32, 8.30 and 8.49 kg, differences between groups not significant.
