Effect of feeding urea (ammonia) treated wheat straw with cotton seed cake on nutrient utilization and milk production in buffaloes

, : Effect of feeding urea (ammonia) treated wheat straw with cotton seed cake on nutrient utilization and milk production in buffaloes. International Journal of Animal Sciences 6(2): 133-137

Murrah buffaloes in mid lactation were given daily a diet containing ad libitum wheat straw treated with urea at 4% and moisture at 50%, green herbage 20 kg and concentrate 2.5 kg plus adequate amounts of a mineral mixture, or that diet with the concentrate partly replaced with cottonseed cake 1.5 or 3.0 kg.
