Effect of feeding with the antibiotic nourseothricin on fattening ability and some aspects of meat quality in broiler chickens

, : Effect of feeding with the antibiotic nourseothricin on fattening ability and some aspects of meat quality in broiler chickens. Sbornik Jihoceska Univerzita Zemedelska Fakulta, Ceske Budejovice Zootechnicka Rada 10(1): 39-49

The effect of the antibiotic Nourseothricin (NST) on body weight gain and feed conversion was compared with that of nitrovin or avoparcin. Broiler chickens were fed on diets containing nitrovin, 0, 15, 0, 0, 0, 0 or 0 mg/kg; NST 0, 0, 0, 20, 30, 40 or 50; or avoparcin 0, 0, 10, 0, 0, 0 or 0. The trial was replicated 3 times. Average body weight of the chickens at the end of the feeding period was 2.655, 1.731, 1.745, 1.725, 1.721, 1.727 and 1.719 kg, respectively, in trial 1.
