Effect of foliar application of micro-nutrients on fruit quality and yield of pomegranate (Punica granatum L. cv. Ganesh)

Eleven-year-old pomegranate plants were sprayed with 0.4% FeSO4, 0.2% boric acid, 0.3% MnSO4 and 0.3% ZnSO4, alone or in various combinations, on 28 Feb., 28 Mar. and 30 Apr. 1985. Untreated plants acted as a control. Highest fruit yield (36.98 kg marketable fruits/plant) average fruit weight and volume were obtained with 0.3% MnSO4. Highest number of fruits/plant (103.83) were obtained with 0.4% FeSO4 + 0.3% ZnSO4.
