Effect of foliar sprays and time of application on pod yield and yield components of snap beans

In field trials in Turkey in 1988-89, Phaseolus vulgaris Kzlhac and Yalova-17 were sprayed with Wuxal-5 (fertilizer containing NPK + trace elements) at 08.00, 11.00, 14.00 or 17.00 h. Plants were given 3 applications at 15 d intervals during the growing season. Pod DW and seeds/pod of both cultivars were increased by application at 17.00 h.
