, : Effect of foliar sprays of growth regulators on growth and yield of safflower. Annals of Plant Physiology 6(2): 217-221

Safflower S-4 grown at Parbhani, Maharashtra in the 1987 rabi season was sprayed with 50, 100 or 200 p.p.m. GA or IAA or with distilled water, or was not sprayed. Plant height, leaf number, leaf area, number of primary branches, 1000-seed weight, seed number/capsule and seed yield were highest with 50 p.p.m. GA. Seed yield was also increased by 100 p.p.m. GA and 50-100 p.p.m.
