Insulin, glucagon and C-peptide were estimated by radioimmunoassay in blood of 93 patients with peptic ulcer disease (35 with duodenal ulcers, 28 with gastric ulcers, 16 after a Billroth I resection and 14 after a Billroth II resection) and in 25 patients with chronic gastritis with secretory insufficiency before and 1 and 2 h after a test meal of protein 57, fat 63 and carbohydrates 103 g (1212 kcal).
