An experiment was commenced in 1986 on sandy soil with three grass species (Dactylis glomerata, Bromus unioloides, Lolium multiflorum), two potassium fertilization levels (160 and 320 kg K2O/ha) and five nitrogen fertilization levels (80, 160, 240, 320 and 400 kg N/ha). The results obtained after 3 years showed a considerable depletion of soil potassium, which was greatest with D. glomerata and least with L. multiflorum.
