Effect of growth regulators on morphological traits, chlorophyll content and seed yield of lucerne (Medicago sativa L.) in pot experiments

In pot trials in 1983-84, M. sativa plants were sprayed with 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0% Alar-85 or CCC or 0.025, 0.05, 0.1 or 0.2% BA or GA3 during the formation of lateral shoots. Data are given on stem length, stem, leaf and whole plant DW, leaf percentage, leaf chlorophyll content, various morphological characteristics and seed yield/plant. Effects on seed yield varied with growth regulator concentration. Alar-85 and CCC reduced growth and increased leaf chlorophyll content.
