Effect of harvesting dates and nitrogen on growth, light utilisation, nitrogen use efficiency and oil yield of spearmints (Mentha spicata and Mentha cardiaca)
In 2 consecutive years, M. spicata MSS-5 and M. cardiaca MCAS-2 suckers were planted in Jan., treated with a uniform application of 40 kg P2O5 and 60 kg K2O/ha at planting, and supplied with 0, 60, 120, 180 or 240 kg N/ha, split equally between one application at planting, one 45 days later and one immediately after the first harvest.
