Effect of increasing nitrogen and potassium fertilization on the growth and development of Callistephus chinensis Nees. cv. Alabaster

Four-year container trials were carried out in a plastic tunnel. N was applied at 6 rates ranging from 0.08 to 0.64 g/dmsuperscript 3 substrate and K at 7 rates ranging from 0.04 to 0.96 g/dmsuperscript 3 substrate. Plant FW and DW, number and length of lateral shoots, number and diameter of inflorescences, and seed yield were determined during different growth phases. N markedly increased FW and DW the number and length of lateral shoots, and the number and diameter of inflorescences.
