The effect of different NPK fertilizer rates and combinations and liming on the content of available, exchangeable and reserve magnesium in soil was investigated in two grassland experiments on soil with different physicochemical properties. Results obtained after 20 years mineral fertilization and 10 years liming are presented. NPK fertilizers decreased the content in soil of magnesium forms investigated and increased its acidity.
