Effect of low-protein, low-energy feed mixtures on egg production in geese

Effect of low-protein, low-energy feed mixtures on egg production in geese

Roczniki Naukowe Zootechniki 20(1): 157-165

A total of 297 White Italian geese and 66 ganders (strain WD-1) were in 3 groups and fed on a diet of extracted "00" rapeseed meal 15, 12 or 10; ground barley 20.0, 45.1 or 67.1; ground maize 42.1, 20.0 or 0; dried grass meal 15% in common; and mineral-vitamin premix 7.9% in common. The 3 diets, which were supplemented with lysine and methionine + cystine, contained 13.79, 13.51 and 13.71% CP and ME9.83, 9.36 and 8.93 MJ/kg.
