Effect of moisture conservation on grain yield of rainfed sorghum (Sorghum bicolor)

Indian Journal of Agronomy 37(1): 186-187

In a field experiment during the rainy season in 1987 at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, sorghum grain yield from plots receiving off-season tillage (ploughing in July), compartmental bunding and the combination of these two methods were 0.37, 0.36 and 0.69 t/ha, respectively, compared with the control (conventional method) yield of 0.11 t.
