The effect of parasitism by Epiricania melanoleuca on reproduction by Pyrilla perpusilla of various ages was studied in the laboratory at 27 degrees C and 70% RH. Fecundity and egg hatchability increased with increase in the age of females at parasitism. When 10- and 20-day-old unparasitized males and females were mated the fecundity was 208 and 205 eggs/female, resp. The corresponding values for parasitized adults were 21.5 and 29.0 eggs/female.
