Effect of reduced level of energy and protein in a feed mixture on reproductive performance of geese

Effect of reduced level of energy and protein in a feed mixture on reproductive performance of geese

Roczniki Naukowe Zootechniki 20(1): 167-175

A total of 480 White Italian geese and 112 ganders (strain WD-1) were in 2 groups and fed on a feed mixture with extracted "00" rapeseed meal 10 or 10; extracted soyabean meal 12 or 0; ground barley 14.8 or 66.9; ground maize 40 or 0; grass hay 15 or 15; methionine 0.1 or 0; and a mineral-vitamin premix 8.1 or 8.1%. The 2 diets differed in CP content, 15.83 and 14.62%; ME, 9.45 and 8.95 MJ/kg; lysine 0.77 and 0.53; and methionine + cystine, 0.67 and 0.48%.
