Effect of row spacing and seed rate on nutrient uptake and grain protein of summer blackgram (Vigna mungo L. Hepper)

In a field experiment during the summer of 1990 at Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, N content in V. mungo Pant U-35 seed and straw and seed protein content increased with increasing row spacings (15, 22.5 and 30 cm) and decreasing sowing rates (20, 30 and 40 kg seeds/ha). P and K contents in seed and straw were unaffected by the treatments.
