In a field trial from winter 1984 to monsoon 1985 on alkaline sandy loam soil at Navgaon, Rajasthan, the effects of gypsum, sulphur or iron pyrites at 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 or 1.0 gypsum requirement (5 t/ha) equivalence values with or without 10 t FYM/ha on yield of wheat Kalyan Sona and B. juncea T9 and the following pearl millet crop were studied. The highest wheat and B. juncea yields were obtained with a 0.75 gypsum requirement application of gypsum.
