P. radiatus PS 16 grown at Shalimar, India in July-Oct., 1987-88 was sown at 16, 24 and 32 kg seed/ha, either broadcast or at 20, 25 or 30 cm inter-row spacings. Plant population increased with increasing sowing rate and decreasing inter-row spacing, and was lower from broadcast seed than from sowing in rows.
