Field trials were conducted on clay loam at Karnal in 1990-92 to evaluate the efficacy of the following herbicide treatments for the control of weeds (predominantly Phalaris minor) in wheat HD-2285: tribenuron at 5 and 10 g/ha + tralkoxydim at 300 and 350 g or isoproturon at 750 g; isoproturon alone at 1000 g, and at 750 g + 2,4-D at 250 and 500 g; tralkoxydim alone at 350 g; a weedy control; and a weed-free control.
