An attenuated Aujeszky virus vaccine with deletions in the thymidine kinase and glycoprotein g III genes was administered to four 4-week-old SPF pigs. There were 4 unvaccinated controls. All pigs were challenged intranasally with Aujeszky virus (106.0 TC1D50/pig) and serotype 1 A. pleuropneumoniae (106.2 CFU/pig) at 7 and 8 weeks of age, respectively.
