The efficacy of pyriproxyfen for the control of C. tritaeniorhynchus was assessed in a rice field in Beng Len, Thailand, during July-September 1989. 2 application techniques were used: in one part of the field (A, 6400 msuperscript 2 in area), 50 cotton sacks containing 0.25 g pyriproxyfen/sack were distributed, while in another part (B, 2800 msuperscript 2 in area), pyriproxyfen was applied at 1 g/10 litres water.
