Efficacy of pyriproxyfen for the control of Culex tritaeniorhynchus at an open rice field in Bang Len, Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand

The efficacy of pyriproxyfen for the control of C. tritaeniorhynchus was assessed in a rice field in Beng Len, Thailand, during July-September 1989. 2 application techniques were used: in one part of the field (A, 6400 msuperscript 2 in area), 50 cotton sacks containing 0.25 g pyriproxyfen/sack were distributed, while in another part (B, 2800 msuperscript 2 in area), pyriproxyfen was applied at 1 g/10 litres water.
