Efficiency for improving the natural pasture of Xiji County, Ningxia

Grassland of China ( 3): 36-40

In order to improve the productivity of natural pastures in Ningxia, China, a study was made in 1988-92 on the development of resown and semi-natural pasture with Onobrychis viciifolia, Astragalus adsurgens and Elymus sibiricus in relation to increases of Monxin cross sheep populations and changes in dry steppes, upland meadows, meadow steppes and scrub-meadows.
