Enhanced activity of nicosulfuron in combination with soil-applied insecticides in corn (Zea mays)

Enhanced activity of nicosulfuron in combination with soil-applied insecticides in corn (Zea mays)

Weed Technology 7(4): 824-829

Field trials were conducted on silt loam at the Rukuhia Research Station, near Hamilton, in 1988-90 to determine the occurrence and extent of interaction among 4 soil-applied insecticides (terbufos, phorate, fonofos and chlorpyrifos, each applied at 0.11 g/m of row) and nicosulfuron, applied post-em. at 53, 70 and 140 g/ha,to corn Nicosulfuron was damaging to maize when the crop was sown with terbufos, phorate or fonofos applied into open furrows.
