The characterization of traits related to the control potential of species (strains) of entomopathogenic nematodes is the key for a successful biological pest control with Steinernema and Heterorhabditis spp. For commercialisation the adaptation of the nematodes to mass production methods and tolerance towards storage and transportation conditions is requested.
