Estimation of critical limit of DTPA zinc for wheat in Pellusterts of southern Rajasthan

In trials at 20 sites in Banswara district, wheat Sonalika was given 0, 10, 20, 30 or 40 kg ZnSO4/ha to determine the critical limit of DTPA-extractable Zn for wheat yield. Without applied Zn, grain yield was 2.2-3.3 t/ha and was positively correlated with DTPA-extractable soil Zn. Yield response to Zn ranged from 0 to 1.54 t/ha. The highest mean response was given at sites with a mean of 0.4 p.p.m.
