Estimation of daily degree-hours

, : Estimation of daily degree-hours. Environmental Science and Technology 31(7): 797-810

Using data from 27 field stations in the USA, differences between mean daily degree-hours computed from daily mean temperatures and those computed from hourly data were examined. Mean daily degree-hours were modelled assuming normal probability distributions for temperatures and homogeneous variances of hourly temperatures throughout a day.
