Estimation of environmental correction factors for weaning weight in Korean native cattle (Hanwoo)

, : Estimation of environmental correction factors for weaning weight in Korean native cattle (Hanwoo). Korean Journal of Animal Science 36(1): 12-18

Least-squares analysis of data on 3453 Hanwoo calves weaned at 80-200 days of age showed that the average age at weaning was 145 days and the average body weight at weaning for and was 110 and 101 kg respectively. Age at calving and parity had significant effects on weaning weight. Calves born to dams aged 7 years (6th parity) had higher body weights than those born to dams of other ages.
