Estimation of genetic trends for greasy fleece weight and body weight in a flock of Polwarth breeding rams
Data on 1452 two-tooth Polwarth rams from 51 sires, performance tested in 1978-91, were analysed using BLUP. The annual genetic gain in body weight and greasy fleece weight was 23 and 4.2 g respectively for the whole period and 116 and 6 g in 1985-91.
