Estimation of growth curves and age of dam adjustments for scrotal circumference in Limousin bulls

In postweaning tests carried out on 576 Limousin bulls by the Canadian Limousin Association in 1987-91, data were recorded, inter alia, on body weight, scrotum circumference and hip height. Equations were estimated for the quadratic regressions of scrotum circumference on age, body weight and height, as single independent variables. The Rsuperscript 2 values for the equations were 0.769, 0.788 and 0.735 respectively. Age-of-dam adjustment factors for scrotum circumference were also developed.
