Estimation of methane production

, : Estimation of methane production. Animal Science and Technology 64(8): 790-796

The relation between DM intake (DMI) and methane production was examined using results from 190 energy balance trials with dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep and goats to predict total methane emission from livestock in Japan. Methane production per unit of feed intake decreased as feeding level increased, although the absolute amount of methane produced increased.
