Estimation of organochlorine pesticides in dairy products by gas liquid chromatography

, : Estimation of organochlorine pesticides in dairy products by gas liquid chromatography. Rivista della Societa Italiana di Scienza dell' Alimentazione 21(2): 141-150

Organochlorine pesticide residues were estimated in samples of milk, cheese and butter by separation from fat extracts using HPLC on a short C18 column followed by quantification and identification by HRGC using a capillary column and electron capture detection. In all samples analysed residues were below legally recommended limits. The method is rapid and sensitive, has a high recovery rate and requires only small quantities of samples for analysis and solvent.
