Estimation of saturated hydraulic conductivity from routine analysis and morphological properties of soils
The relationship between saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks), colour development equivalent (CDE), soil structure, texture, bulk density and organic matter contents were investigated in field and laboratory experiments in Iraq. Results showed that Ks was highly negatively correlated with bulk density, clay and CaCO3 contents of soils (R = -0.85, R = -0.40 and -0.32, respectively) and positively correlated with organic matter content (R = 0.22).
