According to the last estimates, closed on 31 January 1993, the value of Belgian agricultural production decreased in 1992 by 1.1% as compared to 1991, due to an unfavourable evolution of prices (-9%), which could not be offset by the increased production. More specifically, the value of arable farming products fell by 15.8%; the value of horticultural products decreased by 2.6%, and the value of animal products increased by 2.4%.
