Estimation of the digestibility of phosphorus in phosphates, mineral mixtures, protein concentrates and complete feeds for pigs

Estimation of the digestibility of phosphorus in phosphates, mineral mixtures, protein concentrates and complete feeds for pigs

Digestibility of phosphorus in inorganic compounds, mineral mixtures, protein concentrates and complete feeds for pigs was studied in 4 balance trials, each using 4 growing pigs, initial weight 30 kg. Feeds to be tested were added to a basal diet low in P and total dietary P concentration was estimated to be suboptimal for pigs. P digestibility was estimated by difference between unsupplemented and supplemented diets.
