Ethnicity in India

, : Ethnicity in India. Ethnicity in India: 246pp.

The volume groups its essays into four parts. Part I incorporates three treatises all relating to the contexts of ethnicity, namely identity delineation, multiple boundaries, and socio-political dimensions. Socio-political aspects of ethnicity are also recognized as important, and receive special mention with reference to methodological issues. Part II deals almost exclusively with the basic issues related to theoretical conceptualization and operational methods.
